Barbara Morrison LNHA
Barbara Morrison is a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in History and Government and a Master’s degree in Public Service/Public Administration. Barbara has over 20 years of experience in various facets of health care and human resources management including managing multi-site programs for traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, vocational rehabilitation, and rehabilitation and long term care. Prior to coming to McKendree Village, Barbara managed one of the largest long term care programs in the state, with programs that included assisted living, adult day care, respiratory and skilled rehabilitation services, a Long Term Acute Care Hospital (LTAC) and long term care.
Barbara is an active member of the Tennessee Health Care Association, serving previously on the Board and the Government Relations Committee; she presently serves on the Survey and Quality Committee.
Director of Community Sales and Marketing
Jane Schnelle joined McKendree Village in September 2013 as Director of Volunteers. In June she was promoted to her current position. Jane comes to McKendree with 15 years experience as Director of the local senior center, FiftyForward Donelson Station and Director of The Larry Keeton Theatre.
Jane has served as President of the Donelson Hermitage Chamber, on the board of Leadership Donelson Hermitage, Rotary, and Donelson Hermitage Exchange Club Jane was appointed by Mayor Karl Dean to serve on the Healthy Nashville Leadership Council.
Jane has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Tennessee State University and a graduate degree in Human Relations from Cumberland University.
Leah Jack returns to McKendree Village in her role as Assisted Living Administrator. She has served in multiple roles at McKendree including consulting with Health Center Admissions prior to landing as the Assisted Living Administrator.
Leah had previously served in mental health counseling, facilitated adventure-based counseling and team building with Ropes Course initiatives, and she served as the Executive Director of the Donelson Hermitage Chamber of Commerce prior to her McKendree return.
Leah has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology with Music Minor from Belmont University and has proudly served on the Alumni Board of Directors there. She has also served on the Board of Directors of the Larry Keeton Theatre and has a passion for the arts and creative endeavors.
Christie has 10 years experience in the skilled nursing field. Prior to coming to McKendree Village she was an Admissions and Marketing Coordinator at a local skilled nursing facility. She is a graduate of the University of Phoenix with a Bachelors Degree in HealthCare Administration.
Carl brings with him a variety of long-term healthcare experiences, working in many capacities. Director of Social Work, Admissions Coordinator and over 20 years as an Administrator both for profit and not for profit environments. He is a graduate of Leading Age Michigan’s Leadership Academy and has trained Administrators-in-Training and Directors of Nursing. Having come up through the ranks, Carl brings a balanced understanding and passion for his residents, their families and his team members. Carl enjoys spending time with family and golf in his spare time. Personal accomplishment – Hole in One, professional accomplishment – deficiency free survey.
Steve Saunders joined the McKendree team as Director of Human Resources in October, 2015. Steve has over 15 years of experience in various areas of Human Resources including employee relations, recruiting, and professional development . Prior to coming to McKendree Village Steve was the Human Resources Coordinator at a local LTACH and also directed a professional development program for MTSU. Steve is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a BSBA and a MDin from Southern Seminary. Steve has served as a board member for many non-profit agencies.
Jesse A. Green joins McKendree Village as Director of Pastoral Care after serving in a part time position where he visited with McKendree residents and family providing a full range of counseling and grief support. Jesse is married to Conie E. Green and has 3 children and two grandchildren. Jesse is from Louisville Kentucky.
Jesse has a B.A. from Oakwood University and a M.Div., S.D.A. from Theological Seminary at Andrews University. He is an ordained seventh day Adventist minister.
Russell comes to McKendree from the Tennessee Titans organization. Previous experience includes Sous Chef for RH Nashville Cafe, Executive Sous Chef for Turnberry Hospitality, Executive Chef, The Black Pearl, Executive Chef, The Heritage at Brentwood, Executive Chef Old Hickory Country Club and Executive Chef, Merchants Restaurant. Russell has a degree in culinary arts from the New England Culinary Institute. “A chef must think like a Scientist, organize like an Accountant, plate like an Artist and cook like a Grandma.”
Business Office Manager
Charlene Kinder is the Business Office Manager at McKendree Village. Charlene relocated from Eastern Kentucky four years ago. She has been in health care 27 years. During that time, Charlene has worked in a corporate office setting in accounts receivable, regional business office co-ordinator, nursing home administrator and business office manager. Charlene states of McKendree about when she first came to the campus “if a job could feel like home…I am home!”.
Brande L. Kenworthy was promoted to Director of Nursing in January, 2019. Brande has been in the health care field for over 19 years. She has worked on multiple levels of nursing care from CNA, LPN, direct care RN and multiple levels of management. Brande is committed to providing the highest quality of care to our patients and residents.
Facilities Management Director, McKendree Village
Brian holds licenses in EPA Refrigerant Transition, Basic Electricity from Tennessee Technology Center and HVAC certification. Prior to McKendree Village, Brian had 17 years of experience with a large long term care and assisted living organization. His positions included Facilities Management Director, Facilities Management Supervisor and Building Operations Mechanic. Areas of expertise include Life Safety Rules and Regulations, Preventive Maintenance, Commercial and Industrial Construction and Environmental/janitorial services.
